Method (Serves 8)

  1. Finely chop the garlic onions and peppers. Add this to the beef, Italian sausages and oregano and mix thoroughly and shape into18 small classic burger rounds.
  2. Heat your George Forman Grill and grill the burgers for about 5 minutes or until cooked, turn once.  Whilst they are cooking slice the mozerella, so that when the burgers are done you can place a slice of mozzarella on each burger and cover with foil while preparing the buns.
  3. Then split the buns and place them straight on the grill after the burgers are taken off to soak up some of the juices. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar and remaining finely chopped clove garlic to create a vinaigrette.
  4. Assemble the burgers by placing the cheese-topped burgers on the base of the buns, add a slice of tomato and 2 basil leaves. Drizzle each burger with 1 teaspoon of the vinaigrette. Serve immediately. A great kids tea or family supper!
